Hey there. Some of you emailed me yesterday asking about the Asian Slaw from the picnic. I didn’t make it but I ate some (read: a whole lot) and it was delicious. Here is the recipe my friend (TinyFeet) shared with me. Healthy picnics to all.
ASIAN SLAW
from Bon Appetit Fast Easy Fresh
I didn’t take a picture of it but it looked like this before we devoured it:

Image borrowed from http://foodskop.wordpress.com/
1 T. sesame seeds, toasted (trick: i just nuke ‘em for 30 seconds! nuke just till they smell toasted)
1 bag broccoli slaw mix (you can use cabbage or regular coleslaw)
1/2 c. thinly sliced green onions (1 bunch)
3 T. seasoned rice vinegar
2 T. peanut oil
1 T. minced fresh ginger (but i use more than this, usually, cuz i like it)
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 tsp. sugar (or agave nectar)
salt & pepper to taste
Mix all, sprinkle sesame seeds on top. EAT!
